Burst Pipe Repairs

A burst pipe can release a lot of water in a short time. Plumbalot repairs burst and split pipes across Roodepoort, Honeydew and Weltevreden Park — isolating the flow, repairing the damaged section properly, and checking the rest of the line for weak points.

First steps when a pipe bursts

Close the main stopcock to stop the flow, switch off the geyser's power if the burst is anywhere near hot water lines, and open a tap to relieve remaining pressure. Then call us on 076 982 6042. If you're not sure where your stopcock is, we can talk you through it over the phone.

A repair that lasts

Pipes burst for reasons — corrosion, high pressure, movement, or a poor previous repair. We repair the burst section with appropriate materials, and check water pressure and the surrounding pipe work so you're not dealing with the next weak point a month later.

What's included

  • Burst and split pipe repairs
  • Isolation of the affected line
  • Copper and plastic pipe repairs
  • Pressure checks after repair
  • Assessment of surrounding pipe work

Questions

Where is my main water shut-off valve?

It's usually near the water meter at the front boundary of the property, or close to where the supply enters the house. It's worth finding it before you have an emergency.

Will you need to break open a wall?

Only where the damaged section actually runs. We confirm the pipe route first and keep opening up as limited as practical, then advise on making good.

Available in Roodepoort, Honeydew, Weltevreden Park and surrounding areas.
